- Nutrition – Nutrition presentation topics include Healthy E.D.G.E. certification, the new meal patterns and menu requirements for breakfast and lunch, nutrition fact and fiction, healthy snacks and vending, nutrients, nutrient analysis, managing food allergies, nutrition for special needs children and nutrition education in the classroom.
- Administration – Presentations in Administration topics include team building, employee relations, leadership skills, customer service, hospitality, employee motivation, conflict management, dealing with change, professional standards, wellness programs, stress management, financial management and dealing with change, purchasing and procurement.
- Communication and Marketing – Communication and Marketing includes Tips on Communication and Listening Skills, marketing your program, public relations, “secret shopper” program, social media to promote your program, developing promotion materials such as videos, newsletters, and websites.
Rodgers Consulting features certified trainers with over 40 years of experience. Jim and Karla Rodgers are both members of the Texas Association for School Nutrition and School Nutrition Association. Karla is also a certified School Nutrition Specialist through the School Nutrition Association. She is also certified to teach Serve it Safe and Healthy E.D.G.E if you are interested in starting a certification program in your district. *These are the two courses required for SNA Level 1 Certification.
